UN Design Inspiration

One hot summer a friend who worked at the UN invited a group of us to tour it, which was fun for us, but especially me as a former student of international relations who wanted to be a diplomat...and almost was except I ended up doing other things related to geopolitics. Still, it was fascinating to stroll the halls and enter the grand rooms where so many decisions and meetings take place. If only they were more effective, but I won't go into the politics...this is more of an appreciation of the design and the symbolism of what was in mind for this institution.
